Well, here's the news:

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2010/11/133_75783.html

- coming out next week
- 300K+ with contract
- iPad coming...only 200K with contract! Shocked

I don't really get Samsung's pricing with the Galaxy Pad. It's a nice device, people seem to agree. However, I (and many other people) think it should be priced less than an iPad. You're getting a smaller, lower resolution, TFT screen. It comes with a (maybe slightly) faster processor, much better 3D performance, and twice the RAM. However, I think the screen is the most important and probably most expensive part of the device, so it should be cheaper.

So how much without the contract? 800,000 or so?
Just got myself an iphone4, so I'm not looking for another contract!

Sorry for my bad English
This what i found for ipad news

the Samsung tab will cost 1.2 million won. and will be available next week
it only has a 7" screen also.

I think Steve jobs is right. The customers will have the last word.
IPAD IS KING!

samsung is going higher price, smaller screen, typical Korean approach , ours is more expensive means we are best!

I'm starting to think the same thing. Same features and specs, smaller size, cheaper price and it's a phone.

What are they thinking? I'm quite disappointed.

I went to check into prices of new smartphones at SK telecom yesterday with my boyfriend. What we were told is that after galaxy tab comes out the price of the galaxy phone COULD or COULD NOT go down. They arent sure, and they have also said that the price will most likely continue to rise (not go down). Which is dumb, but what can you do.
Anyways he also said that the tab will be released sometime within this month but as of yesterday they have no idea exactly when.

A number of people I know are planning on buying both - I can't wait to have them side by side.

Considering that Tab is advertised as a mobile platform for making video conference calls,
I'm wondering why the suggestion that Tab is not a phone?

I hope they sell the wifi only iPad here without contract. I have an iPhone and pay about 70,000W a month for it, I don't need another data plan! I just want it for my coffee table as a magazine/coffee reader and quick browser.
