What a joke! I remember the days when every recruiter under the sun would beg anyone with two arms, two legs and a pulse to come on over ASAP - I don't remember anyone giving a toss if you were a man or a woman. Can you walk and talk at the same time? You are hired!
What the Koreans don't realise is that these salad days of cherry picking the young and the female to work in their crapwons for 25 hours a week in the middle of nowhere isn't going to last. In around three years from now - it will be back to normal - and Korean recruiters will have to recruit from the undesireable pool of the fat, old and ugly! If that is you - bide your time - go to China and mark time for a year or two and you will be able to return to Korea. Bet your life it will be back to normal soon enough!  |

I have nothing against young women fresh from university going out there to see the world - it is just that not many came out to Korea before ther financial crisis. The demogrpahic that Korvia are rejecting these days are the demogrpahic that kept Korvia in business all these years and will be the demographic that will keep them afloat once things improve in the United States and people start to go home.
I would believe the statement that there will be a glut of teachers in Korea from now on in and into the future if employers were treating this surfeit of teachers any better than their predecessors but by reading this forum - it doesn't seem the case! It looks like teachers in Korea are getting an even worse deal than us! And that's saying something! |

Anyone think the new FBI regulations will at least put a dent in the huge amount of people coming? At least at the beginning of 2011 considering that it takes 2-3 months to get one.
Consider that all those fresh out of college grads who are just now researching going to Korea, would be able to come in February/March at the earliest. |

I take issue with the OPs statement that Korvia is the best recruiter out there.
Personally I think Craig is one of the biggest pr!cks ever to walk this earth.
I had a horrible experience with Korvia and encourage anyone and everyone to stay away. |
