I ended up buying a desktop because I really have no use for a laptop since I don't take it anywhere. Less than 5 months old in like new condition. If you buy this in the US you generally have to wait 2-3 months because they are always on backorder. As far as I know this is the most powerful gaming laptop under $2K. Still has over 1.5 years left on the warranty (parts and labor). I will answer any questions posted in the thread openly and honestly. Backpack shown in ebay auction included. Located at Guui. Asking 1.7 mil.

Price drop: 1.4 mil

Sold pending pick-up

Specs:

That's a damn nice computer. And it's not a bad deal. Are you bundling any software with it? Like office, anti virus or a spy sweeper? Does it come with window's cds or is the backup stored on the computer?

I've got Word 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and Avast Anti-Virus installed on it. I do have restore discs back at home in the US which I can mail out at a later time. I believe that there is also a way to reformat without discs because it's got two separate 500GB drives. There shouldn't be any need to do a reformat within the next year or two though because all of the bloatware has been removed and I don't have very many programs installed on it -- runs the same as the day I got it Smile

The price listing for that is 1599 US, new.
Being Korea, New i'd pay probably 2,000,000 or so.
Being used in Korea, between 1.2 and 1.5 .
Being an Asus, I'm leaning towards 1.2 used.
Hard sale I know, but you bought a Second Class Lappy, in
terms of it's over all durability.

Just to give people an Idea of what things look like, in terms of spec, price, and brand names. I trust PC Shopper much more than Ebay or New Egg.

Damn nice laptop........wish I could justify buying it!

When one takes into account the 'being-in-Korea' tax......I'd say 1.4-1.5 is a fair price.

But well worth it.......

OK, so according to the link you posted it's the #1 rated gaming laptop, and you are saying it's a "second class lappy." If you read the reviews, most of the people that had problems with the machine experienced them within 1-2 months of ownership. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. I paid roughly 1.9 mil ($1600) for it new and I'm now asking 1.4 mil for it 5 months later. Tell me again how that's not a fair price?

Actually, it is a fair price you're asking, but he's on a mission from God to intervene in this matter.
He tunes into the voice of God using a crystal radio and rabbit ears taped to his head.
In fact he's a walking talking Walkman. He told me about his mission in a p.m.

Your gaming comp emits similar frequencies and blasts enough power to occasionally jam his reception.
He's concerned that your computer could get into the wrong hands and do even greater damage.
If someone wanted, they could install software that could knock out his reception completely.

Being number one doesn't change durability.
That company HAS a history of producing warranty laptops.
Laptops that die, once the warranty ends.
You also posted again 3 weeks later mate. Bad class, that.
Guava, you lost, it's alright, now go child, back into the misty whistling wilderness, and berate the children for wearing socks with sandals.

First of all, I think you could say that about most laptops in general, regardless of the brand. If you have some data to show that Asus laptops have significantly more problems that other brands after the warranty is up I would love to see it. I did a ton of research before buying this laptop and I'm pretty sure I would've come across something of that nature if it existed. Second of all, I don't really see how me posting 3 weeks later is relevant, I was planning on doing a price drop as soon as I got my desktop, which I finally did.

That's about the price I gave you anyway mate. At that price it SHOULD sell.
No reason it shouldn't.
