|
|
Hey folks,
I'm curious about routers that are compatible with Mac's. I bought an IPtime Router at Emart to hook my PS3 and laptop up at the same time but I can't install the CD that came with it because, a) it's in Korean and b) it's exclusively for Windows.
What should I do?
Also, I've noticed my internet speed is really slow... 9.2 MB/S Down, 0.37 MB/S Up. What the hell is going on?
Thanks! |

The only thing on those CDs is a wizard to help walk you through setting up your router, there aren't any files on there you actually need.
Granted, I could be wrong, but I've never seen anything to the contrary. |

All routers are compatible with all network-able computers or other devices (the nature of the beast). You do NOT need the CD (unless you are trying to network through your USB port.
They just plug in and go.
If you need to access the router to open a port or something then just use your web-browser to access the router configuration and adjust your settings.

Most likely you need to login to your router and find the option to have your router clone your mac address.
Unfortunately, I'm not at all familiar with the brand of router so I don't know how to guide you if you've never done this before. I'm guessing the instruction manual is in Korean? If so, you may be able to find an english manual if you google the router, or you need a korean speaking friend to help. |
