In my neighborhood it is known simply as the muffin shop, and it is the muffin shop, though that is kind of a shame because the real name, Blue Sky Bakery, is just so right...

Wow. that looks amazing. thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to check it out and prepare for hibernation winter mode.

EDIT: Dang... nevermind. I've seen the one in Omokgyo a million times. Reminded me to finally try it, though.

Where can I find confectioner's sugar to make frosting?

Also, is there a Korean brand of baking chocolate or cocoa powder that is cheaper than the western brands?

It can be found in little expensive bags at Grocery stores like E-Mart near the flour. It's about 1,000 won for 100 grams. Or, you can find a baking store and get it for cheap (I found a fairly hidden one in Ilsan, or the Bangsan baking market in Dongdaemun is probably good). I got 3kg for 7,000won, or 1kg for 3,000won.

I've found cocoa powder at E-Mart for not terribly expensive, but it wasn't good. I've found Hershey's cocoa powder at Homeplus for 6,000won for the regular container of it. Best you're probably going to find in Korea.

For baking chocolate, I've seen it at Homeplus, but only the sweetened kind. I brought back unsweetened from the US. Someone on these boards mentioned they found unsweetened in Korea, but I've yet to see it (including the fairly decent baking store I go to in Ilsan).

On another note, if you plan on baking, buy your butter at Costco; it's the only place to get unsalted butter at a decent price. 11,000won for 2 pounds.
