| pay Korean taxes in full: Erhm, I do... If you're referring to the reciprocal tax agreement Korea has with some other countries, well, it's reciprocal... |
Yes, but those Korean Hagwon teachers who we are screaming should have to take the HIV tests don't get those breaks.
And unless there is a special visa in America for teaching Korean...

| Korean Armed Forces: Korean citizens must join because Korean citizens are the main benefactors of its protection. Also, most nations are wary of their citizens fighting for other countries or other having other nations' citizens fight directly under theirs. |
But we want equality right?
We want to be treated like citizens right?
We are temporary benefactors of their protection so maybe we should have to do some sort of pro-rated service. What's 2 years, 2 months divided by 80 years? 3 week or 4 weeks?

| work on Saturday / staff meetings / stay till 8-9PM everyday: If I get the higher status, pay increase, increased job security, and much higher glass ceiling that Korean teachers get to compensate for the additional responsibility, sure. |
I'll take your word for it. But I think 50% of us at least wouldn't do it even if those things were on the table. We weren't willing to do it back home, why won't we be willing to do it here?

No, it's free rent. Only if you accept the stipend is it part of your paycheck.
It IS part of your contract, it is not part of your paycheck.
Just as the test was part of your contract.
Which brings up a point- If the tests are so unacceptable, why do people sign and then complain?
Bottom line- For what we get, having to do a CBC, Drug Test, and HIV test (what you would have to do to work at a bank or be in the Army, minus the HIV) is a small price to pay.
And guess what back home all kinds of people get excepted from tests, people like the boss' son or all the guys that are 'cool' with their shift leader. |

No reason to hide behind anything, let him do with it as he will.
