Seems like the crap western economies have disgorged a lot of grads this way, but what Korea needs right now is experienced, hassle-free teachers and is willing to pay for it. I just turned down a job in a study room for 2.4M/mo. for 3 hours/day. No prep, meetings, CBC, apostille or any other ridiculous hoop jumping. My friend just got an after school job: 4.5 hours/day for 3.2M/mo. The recruiter told me many schools don't want to deal with the hassles of getting E-2 workers. These aren't isolated incidents either, check Craigslist and you'll see lots of great jobs everyday. I knew this would happen, these new E-2 regulations were a knee-jerk reaction to a couple of unfortunate headlines. Now even employers want to go back to fast, red-tape free employees. |

Point me in the direction of these jobs, I'm in the F2 posse and I'm looking for a decent gig to get me out of this public school BS. |

Sounds good to me. F2's usually have more experience, so that could account for some of the differential too.
cj I used to work PS. Now I just teach privates and I make more money, with no BS. |
