Have you started with an online virus scanner such as http://www.eset.com/online-scanner, a malware scan such as http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and anti-adware program such as http://www.lavasoft.com/ ?

Do you have an anti-virus installed? Can it be made to work?

Ok I am bit of newbie with Computer software! which is strange because I am pro at autocad!...But so far I downloaded malware though can only access anything if I am in safe mode, tried to rename with.exe but cant get it to run still. It scanned system in safemode and located the bad files but I am not sure how to delete it after as when I go to normal mode it is always still there. It has disabled my security system when I access normally, and I cant run anything if it is in normal mode. I am freaking out as I havnt had any virus before and I have my stock information and most of my bank accounts info on the desktop Sad!

Restart computer in safe mode.

Control alt delete to pull up task manager and processes. End those processes that are unnecessary (look it up if you're not familiar).

Run anti-virus. I used window defender when I had this problem yesterday. I used the 'quick scan'.

The a/v program should have found and killed the trojan.

Last, and this can't be skipped, go to internet explorer - options - LAN settings and uncheck "use a proxy".

Restart.

Done.

Turn off system restore. Run viral scan then restart then turn system restore back on. Virus can hide in there

After you get that spammy fake antivirus thing off your computer, open up your browser and try a few google searches. See if it redirects your searches to spammy websites. If so, you probably have a rootkit virus. These are getting VERY common and they are tricky to get rid of without causing permanent damage to your operating system (unless you want to reformat your HD and reinstall your OS entirely). A traditional anti-virus program will not be able to detect or remove it.

There are a few techy forums where trained volunteers will coach you on how to remove it from your computer. One is bleepingcomputer:
