Am I the only one that graduated from my high school that has matured and stopped all of the mindless banter? Wow most people i see on News Feed that I remember from school still talk the same way, maybe even regressed in their linguistic skills. Don't these people ever want to grow up?

Which also brings up another pet peeve: attention whores. These are the ones that just love to comment on how their day is going and update you with every detailed thought they may randomly have floating around in their empty head. eh. I have NEVER once commented on my own wall. I dont need the attention.

All of this annoyance may be due to the fact that im growing up and entering into another phase in my life (nearing 30 years old next year), but you know what? It feels so good.

I got facebook a month or so ago to stay in touch with certain people in Korea while I'm away. I barely bother with it at all. I can't see what's so great about this thing. I don't see the point of it. I don't get why people would make status updates. I've posted on my own wall to reply to people and I've posted about 4 funny videos up there.

Facebook is stupid and girly and I feel like a girl for even having it.

No, those people who need to tell everyone that they're standing in line at the DMV annoy me too. I just block them from my news feed or delete them. I don't whine about it to try and get attention.

rumdiary must be one of the people? sad, but i can think of no other reason he would become so upset by this thread...

dear rumdiary, we don't have time to hide every person who decides to start a rum-diary on facebook, that is why we are upset

I don't understand Facebook. I don't want to let people know what/how I am doing unless they ask me personally.

Okay, Attention *beep*. I bet you just updated Facebook about your other pet peeve. Irony.

Facebook was a godsend when I was new in Korea. I connected to all the foreigners using the friends of friends feature, and people would often post up times and locations of get togethers which I attended, and eventually used to make my circle of friends here. I'm a lot less active on it now, but it was damn useful not too long ago.

Facebook can be tiresome.......although it is 10 times more worthwhile than Twitter which seems to me to be the biggest waste of time ever invented.

One guy I used to know is an enthusiastic Facebooker......he really seems to use it as a support-my-ego tool........ He regularly writes stuff like, "Feeling down today", or, "today was the worst day of my life", knowing that those who purport to be his friends will feel obliged to inquire "what's up?" and make efforts to cheer him up.......it's just so needy.

Everyone must realize Facebook is public and anyone including employers look at it. Boring. I found brown eggs on Farmville!!
