I was totally excited to find out 6 of my middles school students are quitting this week because of thew new government initiated after school study programs in public schools. Four of these kids are the worst students in the whole school. Hurray!
No I'm not worried my hagwon will go out of business. Elementary school is our biggest pull. However, I think my boss may be a little worried since his new Math program he started is mostly made up of middle school kids. Not sure how many of those students quit. |

Yes, but as with all, they are a pain in the proverbial and I am not sorry to see them go. |

My theory is starting to hold true- that the worst students are the first to go.
The most misbehaving kids are likely to come from poorer families, thus more likely to quickly take up the cheaper lessons option. So far its coming true at my hagwon. |

I wonder what toll this takes on Korean teachers. The Korean teachers at my high school often stay very late teaching extra classes. Us foreigners go home at 4pm, so we're not teaching the late classes. |
