| This is a bit of a bargain at 1.4mill...........when you consider what people pay for used Macbookpros. This machine makes 17'' MBP's look downright retarded. |

Except no one actually buys Macs based on quality or performance - unless you're dropping the ridiculous amounts for their Mac Pros because you're actually a professional.
Slap an Apple logo on that Asus and it'll sell like hotcakes, though. |

my computer just blew (a 1.5 year old acer, will never buy another acer ever again) and my warranty is up so they wont help. I have been doing alot of research on laptops and this is the one im gong to get, so I am very interested. A couple questions:
Do you have the original reciept so that the warranty can be redeemed? Is it registered under your name at Asus? I just want to make sure I can use the warranty if something goes wrong.
These laptops, especially the newer versions (which I think this is if you bought it about 6 months ago) have had a few known problems, including the monitor going out, a few with dead pixels, graphics cards going out ect. Is there a way to check it out before? do you have pics?
Have you been having GSOD issues? I know these laptops did have some, and its okay if you did have them because I know alot of issues were solved in a bios update, but I just want to know exactly what I'm getting myself into.
Where is Guui? I am in Ulsan but willing to make a resonable weekend trip to see it if everything is good.
I'd be willing to buy it for around 1.2 mil. This is availible on Newegg for 1399. That one does not have a backpack, but I dont need that, and it only has 1x500 gb hd, but i have a Seagate Momentus XT I'm going to put in whatever laptop I get, so the 1TB is not a selling point for me either.
This laptop has been getting big scores by reviewers, I just want to make sure that I can use the warranty, and the computer is in really good shape cause it is 6 months old. You can e-mail me at [email protected] if you like. |

Actually I have been getting a ton of emails about the laptop, mainly from my Craigslist ad. I have a likely buyer coming to check it out this weekend and so far 3 people who I told I would contact if this guy doesn't end up buying it. I can add you to that list but I can't go below my asking price which I think most people agree is a very fair price. I do have the original order confirmation, and there is nothing at all wrong with the laptop. Guui is on line 2 in Seoul right next Konkuk University. |

I have the G73JW-A1, very similar. It cost me $1800 USD to bring over, I was able to dodge all customs fees thanks to the seller.
Anyway, it's a good laptop. I'm able to play new games at max settings, and the JH's card is a little bit better so you shouldn't have any problems.
Just make sure the bios & vbios are up to date, and check temperatures. Those are the main issues with the JH. |

I think 1.4 is fair, i was more just checking...
If that guy doesn't come, definately put me on the list. I was actually thinking of coming to Seoul this weekend anyways to see the G20 stuff if I could, which would be cool. When will you know if he comes or not? I'd make a trip to see it if no go. |

Price drop: 1.4 mil
| wesharris wrote: |
The price listing for that is 1599 US, new.
Being Korea, New i'd pay probably 2,000,000 or so.
Being used in Korea, between 1.2 and 1.5 .
Being an Asus, I'm leaning towards 1.2 used.
Hard sale I know, but you bought a Second Class Lappy, in
terms of it's over all durability. |
OK, so according to the link you posted it's the #1 rated gaming laptop, and you are saying it's a "second class lappy." If you read the reviews, most of the people that had problems with the machine experienced them within 1-2 months of ownership. I've had absolutely no problems with mine. I paid roughly 1.9 mil ($1600) for it new and I'm now asking 1.4 mil for it 5 months later. Tell me again how that's not a fair price? |
Being number one doesn't change durability.
That company HAS a history of producing warranty laptops.
Laptops that die, once the warranty ends.
You also posted again 3 weeks later mate. Bad class, that.
Guava, you lost, it's alright, now go child, back into the misty whistling wilderness, and berate the children for wearing socks with sandals. |
I saw a stat recently showing Asus had the best 2 year breakdown record of all laptop manufacturers. |

I can do 1.2 mil.
I have a laptop now, but I'd upgrade, so I'd have to get rid of mine... but I'll do that after I buy yours ...
will u only do pick up?
are there any minor scratches, etc etc?
you said it's a gaming computer, does it need a seperate cooling system?
like does it get really hot ? |
