I saw a place when walking outside of Sinyongsan station towards Yongsan station. Lots of military stuff. Never went in though, but it's clearly displayed from outside. |

I've seen all kinds of different camo jackets, Parka's and pants and coats in Namdemoon Market. You can even get those cool flight jackets skinheads wore in the Eighties. I've even seen the new camo the American army wears there.
In the good ol days there was a place in Iteawon that had vintage cold war Russian stuff. The kinda stuff the Norks wear. Long overcoats with Brass buttons really horrorshow. |

There is a dedicated section of Namdaemun for military surplus stuff. Get the tourist map in English and you'll see the area between two buildings. I believe MREs sell for about 5,000 with a slight discount for buying a lot. |

| I have no idea why anyone would by a surplus military MRE. There are plenty of companies that make them. The military ones can be a bit risky. Even if you can read the numbers on them and confirm that they haven't reached the best before date (which some of them HAVE passed) you still don't know in what conditions they have been stored. |

Do they have French Police sweaters--those kinds that have the padding on the shoulders and usually have a pocket on the upper sleeve? I've been looking for one forever. They are so comfortable and look really cool--and make you feel like being rude to people for some reason . |

True, but for what it's worth, I found that the MREs at Namdaemun were all quite recently made. I suspect they are getting them from one of the local bases and refresh their stock quite frequently.
At "normal" temperatures, they last about three years. Ten years if stored in a cool environment. All the ones I saw in Korea were a only a few months old. |
