For the Epik/Talk programs does your CBC have to be valid by the
[1] time you send in your (early) application documents
[2] the E-2 visa date
[3] or your arrival date

I am asking because the time span between dates [1] and [3] could be up to 4 or 5 months apart

from my experince E2 visa date.

my CRB came to a 6 month date on the 13th November and i am now having to apply for a new one becuase there was a problem securing a job: it's a long story.

so basically, from the point you apply for an E2 visa, your CRB/CRC has to be within that 6 month time frame.

Less than 6 months at the time of the application for the LOA or "visa confirmation number) [the time it hits the desk at immigration].

ttompatz, if I am accepted for the Fall (August 1st) do they process the LOA sometime in July? And, will I go to the Korean Office in Chicago or send my passport to Korea to get the visa processed?

I just emailed someone at TaLK and they said early application began in February for the fall program, that is 6 months itself! This whole CBC thing is a bit strange, it takes up to 3 months and it expires after 6 months..
