Newest version, preferably with 3G but it doesn't have to.
Any similar style e-reader would be considered too. |

Does it have a web browser on it?
What kind of price would you be asking for it? |

There you go. Shipping and everything included, brand new. The price looks high, but figure out the shipping amazon would charge plus customs and it's actually competitive. This is going to be my Christmas present (unless I splash for an SSD). |
Yeah..Mine was $139 plus tax, plus 43,000won for customs. |

Amazon won't ship the newest ones here.
My girlfriend had to buy one in the states, and then mail it to me over here. |

Cool, thanks for the info guys. I take it there's no one actually selling one then?
Can you only get books from the Kindle Store with it or can you shop anywhere? |

Hi Derbot,
I've got the latest version of Kindle, without 3G. It's had battery issues and isn't holding the charge well - you have to keep recharging it often.
I think you'd be able to replace the battery eventually, although I'm not sure new batteries are available for this model at present.
Amazon should be sending me a new one, so this one will be spare. If you're a techie kind of guy you might be interested, but otherwise I'd recommend just getting a new one.
I had to pay customs charges on mine, so you'd need to factor that in if you bought new from the U.S. You might avoid this by having a friend forward it from America in a plain package.
By the way, you can buy or download ebooks from other sources; you don't have to buy off Amazon. I've converted a lot of pdf files using Calibre software; the standard of them is not perfect though.
With regards,
Alistair |

P.S.
Amazon will ship the new kindle here; I don't know why the previous poster had a problem. I bought mine from the U.S. and had it sent straight to Seoul. |

| Thanks Alistair, I might just get a new one though. Do you use it much? Is it a good product apart from the problems you've had? |

It's fairly good apart from the problems - it does what it says on the tin - but those problems have been a major pain in the neck. I'm going to be very unimpressed if the new one I should be receiving has similar issues; it's cost me a lot of time to get it replaced and I might have to pay customs twice.
I'm not too keen on the actual interface to be honest and think it could be improved. If a company like Apple designed a dedicated ebook reader the user interface would be much more carefully thought out. If I was buying one now I'd probably check out others first, like Sony and iRiver. I think I remember reading good things about the iRiver. the actual experience of reading is fine. |
