|

Got here April '09, got a prepaid phone, from Show - paid 60,000 for the year-old one itself, 10,000 for the SIM card. Cost me 440 won per day and reasonable amounts per text or per call - VERY happy with the deal and service, which cost me less than 20,000 per month overall.
Now the battery has degraded so I need to charge it every day, and nobody seems to have a replacement. I need to get a new (used if possible) phone, so I went to two Qook/Show places today. One said their office wasn't open today (on a Monday afternoon?). The second said they could not change a prepaid phone (I wanted to switch the SIM card and keep the same phone number).
Are prepaid phones still available, and if so, from which company? If that still works, how could I maximize the chance of finding a decent used phone (anything 3g is fine with me) ?
Thanks yet again! |

Have you also checked the manufacturer's customer service center for a new battery? |

Oh.
What model is it? I mean, the precise model number - SHW-M110, LU2300, etc. |

Actually solved the problem. Got a co-worker with good Korean to write down that I wanted a new phone and to keep my prepaid arrangement going - first Show place inexplicably said "no," but the second sold me a new slider for 50,000, and converted it over in 15 minutes or so. So I DID succeed, though several said they couldn't help (why oh why???).
Thanks for your help! |
