They may not know. GEPIK tends to wait until the last minute to get the word out about these kinds of events.

There is a middle school orientation happening on December 2nd and 3rd.

I would imagine the elementary and high school ones will happen around then too. Location is TBD.

I just got told I have to go to orientation Monday- Wednesday, November 22-24th. Not sure if that helps you at all with knowing when orientation is, but it sure throws a kink in my schedule!

I'm at an elementary school and was meant to go next week too. But I was told that because I've already been to a GEPIK orientation- not to go.

Apparently they're organizing another 2 day/ 1 night training in early December for people who have been here a while. Has anyone heard about this?

No, but I feel sorry for anyone forced to go. Expect the worst.

I heard about it, but didn't get a date. So I can confirm it is coming up soon, but not exactly when.

Be prepared to see some of the strangest, wierdest and most hostile foreigners (not all, but a lot) you have ever seen. I still get the creeps from the Everland orientation/teacher training/whatever the hell it was, back in 2007.

depends on how you go into the orientation. its great for meeting people in your area, just depends on you if you want to hang out with them or not. met alot of creepers there but also met some of my best friends for my 1st and parts of my 2nd year. didnt learn much as far as teaching, class ideas, etc. the contract bitch fest is always interesting. would like to go again, maybe get some class ideas off of people, meet some new people in the area, and have a break from classes.
