Anyone know any good books to supplement my lesson plans? And/or websites... I've been looking for weeks but this is a tough subject to come by for elementary students...thanks!
Ideas/Suggestions are welcome too! |

Do a stock market game. You can teach them about corporations and commodies like oil and gold. Then you teach them about stock market buying and selling. Teach them about stock certificates and money.
Then make the game: have 7 or so companies that the students can buy stock from. Each company has a limited number of certificates. Each student gets a certain amount of cash. Then you dictate the price of the stocks. Move them up and down, and let the kids buy and sell as they wish.
I did they to teach a stock market crash and what it does to your money.
Good luck. |
