Does anyone still take this moron seriously?

On the one hand, Beck dug into the storehouse of Nazi propaganda to describe him as a "puppet-master", "the creator of a shadow government", and so on. With more originality, he also labelled the Holocaust survivor a Nazi collaborator because his father sent him, as a 14-year-old in Hungary, to live with a non-Jewish friend who passed him off as his gentile godson. Whether Beck's refusal to take an equally trenchant line on the Hitler Youth Pope is connected to Rupert Murdoch's papal knighthood, who can say? |

Even his own side are turning against him:

Beck's three-day attack on Jewish financier George Soros has been widely criticized by Jewish leaders, Holocaust survivors and, most recently, Commentary magazine which describes itself as "the flagship of neoconservatism." Critics have been particularly concerned with Beck's false smears related to Soros' actions as a 14-year-old Hungarian Jew during the Holocaust. Beck suggested that Soros was a Holocaust collaborator, even going so far as to suggest that Soros helped "send the Jews" to "death camps."
Libertarian Reason magazine joined the growing condemnation of Beck's false attacks in a November 12 post on its blog, Hit & Run. Reason's editor-in-chief Matt Welch decried Beck's attacks on George Soros as a "ridiculous misreading" which "sets back the cause of human understanding." Welch went on to criticize Beck's suggestion that Soros' "actions were worthy of regret" as a 14-year-old during the Holocaust, writing of such attacks, "I am constantly surprised by how quickly people are willing to toss decency and basic rationality out the window when discussing a gate figure from the other team." |

I never did take him seriously. Also, I have to say it was truly strange to visit home and discover there was this strange personality on TV called Glenn Beck. |

I can happily say when I first saw the title of this thread, I thought, " I don't remember Beck ever doing something crazy, I thought he was a pretty low-key singer." Completely forgot about that other Beck guy. |

Looks to me like Murdoch and Soros are duking it out. I saw the episodes in question, and they were totally insane, but on the other hand, Soros does strike me as an oligarch's oligarch. |
