I can't sleep and I was just laughing hysterically to myself.
Why? I hear you don't ask? Okay, I'll tell you.
I don't see any shame in sharing this story. I was an innocent child at the time and I know I am not the only one this happened to at my school.
I was at junior school in England. This is elementary school level.
We used to have something called assembly. All of the children would sit on the floor and the headmaster would tell the children a story. It would convey an important message designed to educate children about life.
Anyway, on one occasion I remember I was 'dieing' to urinate. Time passed by and with every passing moment my desire to go to the bathroom only became stronger.
It dawned on me I was really going to struggle to keep things in. For some reason, I thought I could let everything out on the floor and get away with it. I suspected nobody would notice.
As I relieved myself, I looked around the room and noticed the students were steadily moving away from me, until I was all alone, like I was stranded on a desert island.
I then looked around and saw a huge pool of liquid surrounding me in almost every direction. All of the students were looking my way, and then I realized I couldn't hide it.
A teacher then ushered me to follow them and I then got cleaned up.
What's your most embarrassing moment? |

i have to 1 up you. in 3rd grade, it was picture day. i had a sensitive stomach growing up, so i'd have to go poop if i ever ate anything that didn't agree with my stomach.
i used to always raise my hand to use the restroom, most of the time with the intention to poop, sometimes it was just a close call where i'd fart and the feeling would go away.
anyway, i had to go real bad one day so i raised my hand to ask if i could go. the teacher said no. she said i didn't have enough "scholar dollars." scholar dollars was her reward system where you earned these dollars to spend on certain privileges like getting water at the water fountain, using the restroom, etc. etc. so i held it for as long as i could.
then it happened. and like, it wasn't a slow release. once you can't hold it in any longer, it all just comes out. god, it was so uncomfortable. people started to be able to smell it. i just stayed quiet.
it was time for lunch, so we all got up, i tied my jacket around my waste but when i got up, i saw a wet spot on my seat. i was horrified. people said i smelled, i said i ate beans for breakfast (wooo, fast thinking on my part )
to top it off, it was picture day. you could see on my face that i was in agony, and that expression has been immortalized forever.
i go home, and throw my undies in the hamper thinking everything wold go away but of course my grandma notices this. my family is angry that the teacher didn't let me go and they want to talk to her but i was horrified. i begged them not to say anything. yep. that's my story. |

I was drunk at a bar and a girl I was dating showed up. I wanted to look like a wiseguy, so I went in to give the double cheek kiss, but my foot got caught in the bar stool, so I fell flat on my face, followed by that stool and another stool. I was holding a mug of beer and I threw the mug of beer in my own face as I was falling. I got up and tried to act like nothing happened LOL
That's one of them. |

You have to limit that policy, especially in middle school, or you will have entire packs of students up and go to the bathroom at the same time. |

This is why you must always give students bathroom permission. Especially girls who might have a special 'ladies' reason to go.
But only one at a time, of course. That's classroom management 101. |

I was in Japan and a carload of us were on a rather long drive to attend a seminar. One of the girls said she did the most embarrassing thing the other day and that if anybody had a more embarrassing teaching story she would buy that poor sod a beer. She had, for no apparent reason, keeled over in class. Just fell down. Whatever.
Just a couple of weeks previously I had invited my private lesson students over to my house for dinner; my students were all employees at the city hall, conservative, and mostly over 50. I had a video I shot at Hahoe Folk Village which showed, I thought, the beauty of the traditional Korean aesthetic; I failed to notice that the video was not cued up at the beginning, where the village was, but much later. Later, on that same trip which took me to Hahoe Folk Village, I was in a hotel in Busan with my Korean girlfriend.
The students assembled in my living room and I pushed play, but rather than the beauty of old Korea, the hotness of young Korea was there spread out on the red sheets of a Korean hotel room. I lunged at the TV and turned it off.
Silence.
"Very big mistake.", said one of the older women.
"Can we see more?" asked one of the younger men.
At least I got a free beer out of it.

This was high school band class. We practiced really early in the morning, and I was often tired as a teenager. For some reason, I put a dirty pair of panties in my cardigan pocket one morning. I think I thought it was a hair scrunchy.
I took my cardigan off during band practice, and sort of threw it in a corner and forgot about it. I guess the panties fell out... The band teacher told me, "I think you left some, uh, personal belongings in here." He pulled me aside confidentially, and just showed my my cardigan and the unmentionables beside it... he was kind enough to make kind of a barracade with chairs and jackets in the corner, to hide them, and he said that he'd moved them there with a ruler (did not touch them). Oh my god, I was so hilariously mortified... |

That's not embarrassing...everyone has underwear.
Mine was when I was hazed in college. Long story short, ended up naked in a hotel room with about 50 people in the room. I thought it was pretty funny though, and wasn't that embarrassed to be honest. I can't think of any situation when I've truly been embarrassed, since I mostly just take things in stride. |

When I was 14, I didn't have a regular menstrual cycle (I'd go months between periods with no idea when it would hit). Anyway, long story short, I started my period in my last class. I bled pretty heavily and it went all the way through my panties and my jeans and onto my seat. As it was, I was a weird girl (even the goth chick and the "gangsta" girl made fun of me). As soon as I stood up, everyone noticed the big stain on my lower rear. I tied my jacket around my waist to cover that. Unfortunately, I left a nice dried blood smear on my chair. I panicked. I didn't know if I should try to clean it with a tissue and draw attention to it. So I just left it.
I guess the good thing about being the weird girl is that no one ever said anything to me about it. I was pretty depressed that night, though. I missed out on going with my sister's to a get together that turned out to be a cult recruitment. *sigh sigh sigh*
Globuton: A dude my sister wasn't even dating pooped the bed when she was in it. She woke up with him all trying to clean it. We told everyone about it, even people we just met, if we thought they might know him. |

WOW. Do you think you would've gone for the cult, had you gone to the meeting? What kind of cult was it? |
