|
|
Hello,
I have fallen victim to the working for a bad company in Korea crowd. I did my research to no avail. They had no bad postings and seemed excellent through the process of coming over here. Everything was great the first 3 months. Then the pay was late (800,000 to be exact), every Friday I am sent to another school out of contract, they are trying to take away vacation, and a very shady "we do not give pay stubs" conversation was just had. Completely unprofessional. It is an after school public program. I found out many teachers are having the same problems. Old teachers have been screwed out of their pensions. I want out, and to find a public school job immediately. Any pointers or tactics would be appreciated. I have a few connections but before I go to them I want others opinions.
Thanks very much. |

labor board. They will ask for a paper trail, you don't need the pay stubs, just use the bankbook for the list of transactions to show how much they deposited into your account. The labor board can also get them on the pension thing. |

The labor cant get them on the pension thing. Labor deals with things like unpaid salary, vacation and other issues under the Labor Standards Act. You have to wait at least two weeks to make a claim for unpaid salary.
The multiple workplace issue used to be an immigration issue, but starting Dec. 1st, employers are allowed to have you work at different locations for a subsidiary without notifying immigration.
You have to contact the pension office for a pension issue. You also need to contact the health insurance office to sort your health insurance issues. If youre not getting pension, your employer is prob also not providing health insurance. |

For a wrongful termination claim, yes. For unpaid wages, no. |
