This morning my co-teacher says that they need this letter from the IRS stating my proof of residency from me by the end of the month- or they'll opull out all the taxes from the year or something!!!

My school has been casually mentioning that I need this for a bit- and I've been waiting to hear back from some American teachers in my little village (I'm in the sticks) about how exactly to get the form, etc... but they never came through.

Please help!!! Any suggestions/ advice on how the process works would be greatly appreciated!!!

IRS website. file an 8802 and wait for the 66xx something to come back. There are threads about it. Search "8802" in the jobs forum and you will get your answers.

There IS a fee involved but I don't have the specifics handy.

There you have your advice but act fast or you may end up paying for your procrastination. I know of American epik teachers who were backtaxed for the year because they didnt produce the paper on time. Its not the admin office just playing difficult -- they have rules they have to follow too. Best luck.
