Hello,
Thanks to all of you who have answered my previous post "My two dads." Right now I have two people both claiming to be my boss and the owner of the establishment. I am on an E-2 visa status with one of these people. Apparently, a change of status in ownership negates my status, but with the original owner still telling me that he owns the place, there is not much I can do to try and contest this. Except, I was thinking about changing my visa status, on my own, at my own expense, to a status where I can continue to work and live exactly as I do now, except without having to worry about immigration, AND/OR can allow me to change employers without leaving the country. I work 30 hours a week. Is this possible? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks again! |
