I like this icon: Laughing

I enjoy talking complete nonsense and it's all anonymous!

I found this forum very useful for information about work/life in Korea.

Now that I've left Korea, I only really miss the banter on this forum.

Honestly, not much. I come here at least four times a week and am regularly disappointed by the general lack of wit, intelligence and interesting personalities. I suppose the only reason I come here anymore is that it's work safe enough.

I like judging other people, and then realizing how much better than them I am. Really, this is about the crappiest internet forum I'm been on, mostly because the posters suck and moderators are way too anal. Most people here just complain about Korea it seems, or are lifers here and think it's way too great and they're like uber-Korea heros or something.

So ya, it's just a way to kill time at work.

Well, it's work-related enough to justify my looking at it while at work. There are some common experiences that are fun to share. There are some funny trolls. ESL Cafe is a slightly guilt-inducing, slight source of pleasure.

Now it's time for me to prepare a Typhoon game. Serious teaching awaits!

Sometimes I try to stop, but then I realize I don't have anything better to do.

Fixed it for you.

I like to kill moments in between classes or before I go home. Sometimes I post with my morning coffee after a hike as part of my morning routine, checking the news, that sort of thing.

I like that I can get into awesome arguments all the time with colourful people who I would probably just avoid or ignore in real life.

I don't like that that's about the only thing that anyone can do on this site.

I don't even think the people here are probably that bad deep down inside, it's more like they come to this s-hole and suddenly if they're not being a complete d-bag they feel out of place.

I also don't like how no one can seem to disagree without tacking on a 'you idiot' or 'you troll' or some sort of outlandish theory on who you are and how you spend your time away from the computer, or how you've lived your entire life up to this point.

I swear, it's like some people on here think that they have a supernatural ability to see through computers or something... which kind of makes me worry that they might be really unstable.

If you're going to make up theories about people, why not throw in some aliens and unicorns to make it interesting?

But hey, I guess so long as I keep posting here, I'm no better than anyone else... the same goes for everyone else, I think.

Just seeing what are the concerns, ideas, and interests of others, because I never see any of you in person though a web sight is far different than talking.
