You really are as ignorant as you appear. Please try to learn some history before commenting on it.

Not only can I imagine it, it has happened. In 1985 New Zealand declared itself nuclear-free. A sovereign country making an independent decision without the approval of America, and against the wishes of America, was such a shock that America has consistently (until now) tried to bully New Zealand into doing exactly what America wants. And New Zealand has never backed down. Ah, yes, America the defender of freedom and democracy. What a crock.

Thanks for that Sleepy in Seoul. I'm sure that most recently graduated 22 year old Americans simply have no idea how their government bullies it's 'allies' (trade deals, open markets etc).

I know, I know. Tragic, isn't it?

Yes a tradgedy. Just imagine a world where young Americans were never lectured by commonwealth types about crap that they probably dont care about or already know. A world where some half educated know it all doe"snt bend your ear with a lot of half truths or nationalistic nonsense. A beautiful world.

Gotta love the assumption , apparently it must be taught in schools in some countries , that it is their mission to "educate" Americans.

Gotta be fair here. Gore won the popular vote. The system needs an overhaul, but only about half of America voted for the warmonger. Most of those war loving folk are the same ones who don't have a passport and aren't here. "Leave 'merica? Hell no!!!!"

Your people might not like it, but your governments bend over backwards for FTAs. But yeah, it's America "bullying" New Zealand. Tell your politicians to grow a spine then. You won't, though. And we won't tell our politicians to stop making war.

Why blame the people in either case?

And I'm sure most 22 year old Americans know about FTAs and the lowest common denominator. I thought you were being tongue in cheek at first.

But it's cute/quaint that patriotic (a trait that Americans and Koreans are oft derided for but seems to be a virtue if you're from some sad shire) Sleepy thinks his country is "sticking it to the man" or is in any way important. Hell, even Australians can't be bothered to pay attention to New Zealand.
