PLEASE SHOOT ME.

No wait, 12/21/2012 is not so far off. And I have several students who are
of Mayan background. One is from El Salvador. The last 4 numbers of his school Id are 4004. And he is 4 on the list. We call him the death angel. He said he will take me to heaven on 12/21/2012. Becasue my birthday is 4/13 and in 2012 that is a Friday, I am hoping he will take me then. He is thinking about it. Very Happy

Still doing the old numerology "I'm a chicken" schtick, eh?

I guess you are half correct. I did the number part. Did not mention chicken, though. Interesting name for your new sock.

I received an email from EPIK about two days after I submitted my application stating that I passed the application stage. I then also received the request for the interview. The interview occurred 4 days later. I then received the acceptance from the interview the very next morning.

I was 55 when I went through this same stage with EPIK. I passed the interview with flying colors and was accepted into the EPIK pool only to find out that nobody wanted me in any particular school. I ended up using a recruiter who landed me a job directly with a rural school district. They told me that it was very difficult for anyone over 40 to actually get a job. There are plenty of folks over 50 teaching in the public schools but we tend to be scattered all over the country. Good luck with your search.

Great. Just what I need to hear. As long as I'm close to Ilsan, I'll be cool I guess...no, as long as I get something, I'll be cool

I am in the USA - I work as a substitute teacher during the day - meaning availabilty 6 am to 4pm for teaching - then I am also to be near a phone for sub calls 24/7 - in addition I work a nonteaching job evening and weekends with various hours - somewhere in my 24 hour day I also have to commute to both jobs, eat, sleep, do laundry and shower/bathe, find time to get other household and life tasks accomplished - as well as apply for jobs overseas - get all the documentation together - find time for job interviews.

I am also in my 50s - having just one well paying job will be a piece of cake after 2 jobs!

What is this about older people not having enough energy?
