|
|
I have an Acer Aspire 6930G and running windows 7 having upgraded from Vista. I never had any connection issues in the UK though only used WiFi at home.
So I have KT internet installed and have the Local Area Connection and every hour or so my laptop disables the connection, and wont let me enable it, and insists I reset the adaptor. How many times can I do that before I want smash something? Anyway if I restart my laptop it works again for a while before crashing.
So I have disabled the Windows Firewall, is there anything else I should do to avoid this happening? It is driving me loopy with all the restarting, do I need to update drivers or download a more reliable one??
Any help would be much appreciated. |

| Is the LAN adapter set to go into power saving mode after XXX minutes of inactivity? Might be crashing when it tries to recover? Take a look, and yes, new drivers won't hurt either! If you're on old ones currently that is. |

Unfortunately it's not the adapter. It crashes whilst I am online, like in the middle of a skype conversation, downloading or even just surfing!! So maddening!!
May have to resort to putting in a Wifi router... never have any problems with that!! |
