So I've searched a bit on the forum, and it seems that everyone's answer to shipping things back home, is to do it via those #5 boxes from the post office.

But, I want to send a snowboard, guitar, clothes, a scooter, and a bunch of other stuff back. To give you an idea of the size, think ...2 bongo's worth of stuff (korean blue truck haha).

I don't think it would make sense to rent a half shipping container, but maybe 1/4 of one? Would that be too big? overkill? Really expensive? I'll appreciate your thoughts on the matter, and thanks for the help ^__^

Get a Korean friend (or google) to help you find a freight forwarder (shipper) who will do it bulk (usually wrapped and on a pallet).

ANY option won't be cheap but that would probably be your cheapest bet.

Thanks mate, thats currently my plan. I know it's hard to make estimates without knowing the exact size and what not, but do you know if it'd be closer to 200,000 or 2,000,000? hehe, I'm really shooting in the dark here Smile

I believe they charge you according to weight, but I could be wrong. It cost me 2000 USD to ship my stuff home. I had about one Bongo truck full *to the brim*

I also think it depends on your destination as well. Someone going to California may not pay as much as someone going to New York.

I don't know if this advice will help anyone but I've moved many times and I try to limit how much I have to move at any one time. A good way to do this is to have someone, at your home country, who will accept and store packages of things you don't need now but will appreciate later. In other words, since we are all living in small apartments, be smart and mail mementos home now. You can send them as a large box or with a Christmas present you mail home. No matter what, don't let menentos pile up or they become a pain to mail.

don't worry, it'll be good.

America accepts its large and heavy things with open arms provided you have the proper American passport to prove beyond your size and weight that you are indeed American.

and you'll be made to feel right at home the moment you step inside an American airline, where the stewardesses will be just as large and heavy as you are.

(sorry, just couldn't resist )
