‎"Your authentication request was closed on 11/19/2010 by the
Office of Authentication at the US Department of State."

No account activity in my bank account, though, and I can't call them...just a bunch of prerecorded messages. Emailed them twice earlier.
Did anyone else get a message like this when the deed was done?

As I recall I got a very similar email from the UK apostille office when I sent off my documents - it meant that they're on their way back to you, apostilled and ready to go.

If you're referring to the FBI background check, did you get anything like that from the FBI when they completed it?

No. Just a charge that showed up in my account one day. (And yes, I'm American; referring to FBI notarized check getting apostilled via US Sec of State)

Yeah, should have caught the US at the top. Evil or Very Mad

For anyone who is curious about their status, the phone number and email for the FBI CJIS division is on the website.

Also as the year closed in the turnaround time for the State Dept. apostille jumped from 6 business days to 15 business days and that's AFTER the security check on the incoming mail.
