It's my boyfriend's birthday coming up and I was thinking of buying him a portable digital radio, if such a thing exists over here. He used to listen to the radio a lot back home in the UK and I know it's something he misses. He also has a long commute to work in the morning so it would be useful to help pass the time.
So I was wondering if someone could recommend a good digital radio that I could buy in Korea. And, does anyone know if there are there any decent digital radio stations available in this part of the world? Would be great if there was a way we could get the BBC channels but I presume that is not possible. |

Oh digital radio, how I miss thee!
I've never seen a digital radio out here, I think they're still using analogue. Cell phones with a TV built in have radio stations as well, but I don't know if they're exclusive to digital like BBC 6 or 7. It's all academic anyway as they're all in Korean. BBC radio iplayer is available here, including all the digital stuff, and you can download spoken word stuff from http://radioarchive.cc
FYI, you can get BBC TV iplayer here as well (streaming only) by using FoxyProxy and Tor (google it). |
