I haven't seen this mentioned before, so here it is. It is now possible to watch the BBC outside the UK. See this link: http://www.webtvunleashed.co.cc/2009/02/getting-everything-to-work.html

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for Channel 4, but I'm told it can be tweaked for other services around the world. I've been using this for about a month now, it works fine 99% of the time.
