I was wondering if any of the online stores will ship to Korea if I order on Black Friday. Considering the savings, I would still pay a lot less than Korea even with shipping and customs.
In case anyone does not know, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when major stores slash their prices for one day. |

'Any of the online stores' is a big category! Who are you thinking of ordering from? Most places have their shipping policies listed online somewhere. Amazon won't ship most things here, TigerDirect won't either, same for NewEgg.
If you have an APO address with the military anyone will ship to you. |

Me too! HD video plays, but only a new machine edits in HD. You can get it in Korea, but you are looking at about 40% higher price.
The reason why few to none of these retailers can ship is anti-dumping laws preventing free trade as to protect domestic interests. Asian made stuff is much cheaper back home, because it's not going through all these money grabbing middlemen. It just goes straight from manufacturer to corporate seller to consumer instead of being domestically traded many times. The middlemen know how to work a small country in making commissions and establishing an unnecessarily high price standard to support them. While we just want and deserve fair market prices for personal use wares, the country systems over here won't allow anyone to directly import goods, because it can be sold at a lower price to beat out the locals. I wish I could I wait on buying food like the way electronics can wait. |

OP, I have family to ship back home, so I cannot speak to how good this service is, but there is a service called myUS.com of something like that. Since I have family back home, I consider it an expensive option, but maybe it will work for you? |

Don't remember anything in particular. I'm relegated to an old Dell Inspiron with a 1.4 C2Duo in it right now, so pretty much anything is a step up. |
