Hi All
I just returned from a 3 year stint in Korea this past August and now I teach in California at an IEP/college prep program- many of the students are Korean.
My question is the subject line. When I was in Korea and there was an elevated alert (maybe not this elevated) my parents were constantly calling me to find out what was going on because things were dramatized by the U.S. media.
So... here we go again, it seems. Or maybe not. The reports over here have South Korea on red alert, Obama being woken up in the early hours of the morning to talk strategy with Lee Myeong Bak and all kinds of other dramatic details.
I feel afraid now because of the bleak picture of impending war they're painting here but I don't know how seriously to take it either! |

They are just huffing and puffing. War does not benefit anyone here. |
