Mods, this is not another fear mongering thread. I'm just curious whether the foreign teachers here have taken any precautions if the proverbial turd were to hit the fan. None of the Koreans that I know seem worried about the recent events, but at the same time it just seems like a good idea to have a back-up plan ready.
That being said, I don't have one. I just keep my passport and a fair bit of cash (in USD) stashed away, hoping that if anything happens I'll be able to make it to the coast and catch a ferry somewhere.

edit: ugh, wrong forum... asked the mods to move the topic. |

The US embassy has an evacuation plan for all US citizens staying here, that would be easier than finding your own way out if you from the States |

My school does "cultural days" for the teachers once every few months. It is to encourage teachers to go out and experience culture rather than desk warm for the last few hours of the day. This of course means go home early day. Due to the wonders of the North however we are in an emergency! Deskwarming is back!! |

I registered with the Canadian embassy page.
My wife is not a citizen but I would not leave her behind. My daughter is a citizen so she'll be evacuated with me if the fit hits the shan.
I don't have a lot of faith in the Canadian gov't. They're too busy evacuating false Canadians from Lebanon. |

Did they cut back staff for Passport renewal just to pay for all the jets they plan to use to evacuate us. |
