I would like to know what documents are needed to be summited again to
renew a visa with the same school?
Is a FBI check needed for renewal, if so how do you get the fingerprint card or get this done in general from Korea?
Diploma, transcripts, ARC, Passport, sponsorship doc from the school and new contract I assume that all these are needed to file again. Am I wrong? |

From what I understand:
Assuming you completed all for your current visa:
-no new FBI check is needed if you haven't left the country for more than 3 months
-no diploma
-no transcripts
You'll need a copy of your new contract, your passport, your ARC, and a few documents from your school. That should be it.
Be sure to make an appointment online. You'll be in and out in less than 10 minutes. |

There are a couple of "IFs"
IF you previously submitted an FBI check (with apostille) then you will NOT be required to submit a new one.
If you did NOT submit an FBI check (you used a state one) then you will need a new one (from the FBI).
IF you used a copy of your degree with an apostille you do NOT need to resubmit it.
If you used the original without an apostille you will need to get a copy legalized and resubmit it.
Other than that you need the standard renewal documents:
new contract (with end date clearly shown)
passport
ARC
letter of sponsorship from the school
copy of the school's business registration
application
fee (30k won)

my univ called immig tues as a bunch of us will be renewing in feb and we were told if we didnt have the fbi check and apostilled diploma thats fine but you will be given a notice that you have to get it done for the next time
i wonder since i will have my fbi check done and have an original apostilled diploma from 3 years ago they will take it now so i dont have to go through this again next year.
also my univ called kcue THEY WILL NOT verify degrees at least for now
the rest of the paperwork is the same |

My school was told today by the central office (not one of the district offices) that if you're re-signing for the first time you don't need the FBI check. |

This is my problem. I'm American but went to school in Canada and have no clue how to get my stuff verified if not through the KCUE. |
