A question for the artsy-types out there....
Do you know if it is possible to buy traditional, Korean beads?
If they exist, where might I find some?
I'm looking on behalf of an artist friend back home.
Thanks for your help! |

| Hi! I am not sure about beads, beads... but at the Dongdaemun Shopping Complex (subway line 4 Dongdaemun exit 8, 5th floor) there are some little stores that sell specifically supplies for korean jewelry, very beautiful. unfortunatelly I don't know the number of them but I can check when I go there again and let you know. The whole floor has beads stores. Many. |

| Yep. Many Buddhist temples have a small shop selling the traditional beads. They are typically brown wood beads with some Korean or Chinese characters imprinted on them. |

Thanks so much. I appreciate the tips! I've been to Dongdaemon once, but was a tad baffled by it (perhaps because it was day time). If you do happen to notice where the jewelry supply area is, I'd love to know. |
