Possibly inspired by the Ivy League thread, but I'm wondering if having Phi Beta Kappa or something similar on your resume will do you a lick of good, or if it could even be a drawback. In my experience, people that have known what it is have seemed favorably impressed, but very few people I have spoken with have any idea what it is (in the USA as well as Korea).
Sometimes, people seem to think it is one of those honor societies that will accept everyone who is willing to pay the dues. Worse, many people see Greek letters and assume it to be a "get drunk off your ass" frat. (Probably not something you need if you went to a uni that almost always makes the list of the top 10 party schools) |

Unfortunately, the picture you send of yourself has more precedence than your GPA. |

No one here will care what your degree was or if you were Phi Beta Kappa. Chances are they wont even look at your CV.
I work with a guy who majored in Agriculture and didnt hold a job longer than 3 weeks in the states. |
