Hi,
I have been in Korea since September. Things haven't worked out in my current position and my boss and I have decided it's best for me to move on. He seemed to think that a contract waiver letter will be adequate enough for me to be able to satisfy immigration and change jobs.
I'm concerned that I will need to have all of my documents notarized again and get my criminal records check re-done, etc. Could anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks. |

Less than 6 months in and you won't likely be able to do a transfer of employment under any circumstances (other than employer's bankruptcy/dissolution of business).
This DOES mean that you need to get your visa canceled. You can do either of:
a) You AND your employer go to immigration to cancel it
b) You leave Korea, turn in your ARC (to cancel your visa) and return.
In either case, since you are under 6 months, you will need a new set of documents (degree copy and CRC - both with apostille) to obtain a new visa (since you can't transfer).
