I got my P and VP wine. I also made fudge which I left in the teachers' lounge for everyone. My coteachers got socks and chocolate.
I got gifts from my coteachers, and other teachers did bring in snacks for the lounge. I got nothing from the P and VP, but they treat me very nicely 95% of the time.
You don't have to get gifts, but do keep some small ones ready just in case your coworkers do exchange things. Vitamins are great gifts. I'm giving my P and VP some Boots fizzies this year. |

When I've been on friendly terms with my co-workers, I usually got everyone some sort of Christmassy sort of ornament. Nothing expensive. It was just symbolic. I've found that sometimes bosses will give employees a small cash bonus at big holidays but I've never received a Christmas gift from co-workers.
I think that unless they're Christian, they won't care much about Christmas. Even then, most don't seem to care much about it. |

I had my mom do some dollar store shopping this year for gifts. The female teachers are getting 'fancy' soaps. The male teachers are getting ties.
Administration is getting chocolates.
Vice-principal is getting gloves
Principal is getting a somewhat more expensive tie.
All of them say made in the USA (which was hard to find) overall cost for everything including shipping was less than $100.
My school is good to me and we are relatively still a small school so I don't feel bad about the cost. It makes them happy which gives me more freedom to do what I want. |

Pocket calendars I found at a book store for those who've been good. Nothing for those who've been naughty. |
