Early next year I'm looking to rent a single unit dwelling for a weekend. I've tried searching online but all I come up with is either pensions or resorts. I can't seem to find information about any single units.
I know they exist as a friend of mine stayed at one with his school a few years ago. I've been told by Koreans that they refer to them as 'sanjang'. San meaning mountain.
Does anyone have any info as to where I maybe able to find one to rent for two nights? The place should be complete with a kitchen, a bathroom, etc. Basically a house.
Thanks |

Hi dfunk,
What you are talking about is a huyang cabin.
It is called 휴양림 (huyanglim).
The web address is http://www.huyang.go.kr/index.jsp
Unfortunately, it is all in Korean and you will need a Korean to help you register and book your cabin. They are located all over Korea and they are a great place to relax. You must do your bookings at the beginning of the month.
