That's annoying, now I have to walk to Pyeongchon to pass a butcher on my way home.

There is another butcher around the corner near the new Pizza Tour place (that used to be the hot sun chicken place).

If you cross the road by woori bank and walk between the apartments

Good reason to not live atop a restaurant or commercial building. Also, these types of businesses being hazardous, also seem to attract all sorts of pests, including cockroaches, which make it up to neighboring apartments.

Teachers should be given an option to choose where they want to live before the contract begins keeping this information in mind.

This post reminded me to check if the thing on the ceiling in my kitchen is a smoke detector or not. Haven't figured it out yet, and looks like whatever it is the battery is dead anyway. Guess I'll go check out Gmarket for smoke detector.

Didn't ask for advice and the firemen had told me to stay inside. I had a shower, got ready for work put my passport a change of clothes and my stash of money in a bag then I had and nothing else to do. I assumed that if i was in any real danger I wouldn't have been told to stay in my apartment.

what else was I meant to do? make a sheet rope to abseil out of my 15 story apartment?

The same firemen who let Dongdaemun burn to the ground last year because they didn't want to get it wet? I would definitely take their advice with a grain of salt.

Live in a 15 story officetel, the fire was on the first floor in a butchers. There was smoke everywhere everytime I blow my nose it comes out black and all my clothes stink of burning plastic.

The smoke was coming in through the bathroom air vents. Seems to be undercontrol now, but man the smoke was thick.

If you live in hansol central park 1 in beomgye your room and everything you own is going to stink of burning plastic. I just hope you left your windows open

Doesn't having the window open increase oxygen intake which inevitably feeds fire? The wet towel by the door crevice would help I think.

Then again, I wouldn't want my stuff to smell of burned plastic either.

Hmm. What does one do in a situation like this. Windows up when the fires not on the same floor?

I believed you but was struck by your light-heartedness as you actually took the time to post it on Dave's. Laughing
