| I had a doozie of a "your mom" joke for this thread, but my classiness prevents me from telling it. |

| Don't let the name "Skin Food" fool you. Everything they sell is nasty chemicals except for their carrot sun cream...(supposedly)....why would I want to give people chemicals??? The same goes for Lush, Body Shop, Etude House...I did my research and am totally disgusted by these companies now...money is the name of their game. People need to stop thinking "companies" care about them. |
It might be nasty chemicals but the potiron emulsion has done wonders for my dry winter skin. |

Some chemicals do wonders. I use Khiel's Ultra Facial moisture cream (someone here suggested it to me and it's great!) in the winter, but the rest of the year I'm able to get by with rubbing a fresh olive or some shea butter on my skin at night. The cream has a lot of chemicals in it, but this is the first winter that I haven't had eczema on my face from the cold. I used to slather e45 cream on multiple times a day to keep from peeling and turning red. I just put a little on in the morning with a little sunblock and I'm good to go for the day.
I wouldn't recommend sending that to your mom, though. The mark up here is near 30%.
I also like Skin Food's collagen, gold, and caviar serum at night in the winter. |

| I also did my research on this whole "you must wear sunsncreen every day or you will age because of the sun" thing. We have been taught to believe that we need to put sunscreen on our faces, even if it is just to walk outside to check the mail, or even on rainy or cloudy days". Most things we have been taught are lies..Thank you NWO. Even a guy at work told me sunscreen blocks vitamin D absorption. And ladies, I must say, how many guys do you know who wear sunscreen everyday? And I have never seen a 20 or 30 something year old guy who looks 10 times older than his age. This sunscreen thing is a gimmick. You really only need it if you are going to be in the sun for long periods of time...hahaha...SPF 70??? Are you really going to be in the sun 70 times longer than normal? I also know that most sunscreens contain those nasty parabens. I researched parabens and those things are yucky. When you wear sunscreen with parabens, the sun actually cooks those nasty chemicals right into your skin, and parabens actually SPEED up the aging process, even though people are walking around thinking they are fighting wrinkles with their sunscreens. You can eat tomatoes for internal sunscreen. Toxins are just not a good idea. The skin absorbs everything right into he bloodstream and organs....EEEEW. So, just don't be a sun worshipper...Moderation is key...^^ Also, watch out for Nature Republic. They put those nasty nano chemicals in their stuff, and I don't want nano anything in my body...^^ |

I've done my research too. I used to write about this stuff for a living.
You don't need sunscreen everyday if you wear a hat. I can't when I ride my bike because I'm wearing a helmet. On days that I'm going to be out in the sun, I'm going to protect my face.
You've never seen a guy who doesn't look older than his age? That's improbable. More importantly, have you ever seen a guy who looks younger than his age? He probably wears sunscreen and avoids skin products with alcohol. My husband does
On a side note, you absorb the majority of vitamin D from your trunk, not the limbs and face.
I'll continue to take my pure cod liver oil every day (with 1,360 units per serving, totaling 340% of daily requirement) and keep my skin protected and lovely, like my mother's and grandmother's. |
