My one year anniversary is coming up and I'm looking for a nice romantic getaway spot. I'm not too picky and would accept a resort/cabin/hotel as long as it's outside of Seoul but within 3 hours of the city. Only have the weekend so Jeju/overseas destinations are out of the question.
I would prefer something with a spa/massage or other relaxing activities, upscale restaurants are also a plus but not mandatory.
Can anyone suggest something nice? All I can think of so far is Namiseom! |

have you thought about going to a ski resort? they are pretty nice because there is snow and usually some spa's and other activities around somewhere.
The one I go to (muju) has a cable car that you can take up into the mountians and there is a park at the top to play about in the snow in.
I think Suanbo Sajo Resort has spa's.
couple that with the pension idea - you got yourself a nice romantic weekend, guaranteed to get you extra brownie points! |

Gyung-ju is quite romantic during the winter and far less crowded than the summer months. There are some nice hotels out by the lake with western restaurants or you could opt for a traditional Korean restaurant. |

Jeju is one hour by air. You are willing to travel 3 hours out of the city.
Why is Jeju out, based on the fact that you only have the weekend?
Jeju is actually an excellent weekend getaway. |

The flight might be an hour, but the bus ride to the airport, security checks and waiting for luggage all add up. I actually went to Jeju last year during the winter and it was a little dull. I feel like it would be a nice spring/summer destination.
Will probably head to a pension, some of those options look really nice, thanks for the suggestions furtakk. |
