COEX food court has some great pizza I must say.
Dominos for me deserves a shout as well. Seems like they are everywhere in Seoul these days. Never been to costco but the stories are pretty much legendary. |

As far as pizza in Korea goes, I'm a fan of Imsil pizza.
Skip that potato-goo-gold-crust crap (that Koreans seem to be so fond of ) and only go for their pan cheese or pepperoni pizza. It's on par with Domino's and for 17,000 it's a little less hurt on the wallet. |

I agree with what has been said about Hollywood, their pizza is fantastic!
For those in the northeast there is a great brick oven pizza place by Banghak Station (line 1) exit 3. Thin crust and real cheese to boot! |

If you guys like Milanese style pizza. Pizzeria Pronto 1 block away from exit 2 Eung-am Station is the place to be.
Extremely thin and crispy crust topped with gorgonzolla and other cheeses. Priced at around 7000-8000 won. Topping choices are extremely limited, but what they do have is amazing and you will be back for more.
Wouldnt advise Friday or Saturday night without a reservation, delivery on those nights usually takes them around 1- 1 1/2 hours. Ive also noticed this pizzeria in Ilsan around Baeksuk station. Try pizzeria Pronto its excellent. |

The name is something like Pechka pizza, it's in Hangul. The place is easy to find though, Banghak station exit 3 turn left and it's right in front of you. |

So far, I think Beer O'Clock has the best pizza in Korea.
Beer O'Clock is a Canadian bar in Sinchon. Their pizza is so good that they just opened up BEER O'CLOCK PIZZA in Itaewon. |
Directions, please? |
Go out Exit 2 of Noksapyeong Station and go across to the right side of the street and walk straight. Hang a right at the intersection that you'll come to and go up there. You'll see a Pizza Maru on your right and a street going off to the left with a family mart, head left towards the family right and walk up that street and it'll be on your right. |

just tried 59pizza.
Pepperoni.
(turns out inside they actually have all the pizzas on the wall with English translations (which you won't see on flyers, outside or on website)
for most foreigners, unless you like seafood, I think the only edible options will be the cheese, pepperoni or bulgogi options.
Since it's a fast food place, it should be compared against Domino's and such and I must way it really was NOT that bad. Fairly good actually.
they claim to use 100% real cheese and I believe it! They also seem to have more tomato sauce in their pizza than most K pizzas that I've tried (which hasn't been many)
anyways - for a fast food type pizza joint, it's definitely recommended!
(it's actually not good news that I liked this pizza because now I will be tempted to eat it way more than I should (which should be no more than one a week)
oh yeah, and at 6900 won (for a "large") , it's good value, especially compared to Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc. Actually I wouldn't have minded if they had one even larger. |

I have a toaster oven, but I don't try to make my own pizza. Instead, I buy a cheese pizza and put my own toppings on it, whatever I'm in the mood for. It works really good with take and bake pizzas, but I can deal with some frozen pizzas. I also like Pizza Peel, the crust is thin and the one with the prociutto is really nice.
Also, when it comes to saving money, the toaster oven is totally worth the price. I use mine almost every day so the cost per use is low. Buy one secondhand from someone who is leaving and sell it when you leave and the price will be nothing! |

I ate at Pizza Peel recently in Itaewon. I was expecting greatness. It was good but I've had better. I got the Greek pizza. It wasn't cold but a little on the doughy soft side. I think if it had been cooked a little longer it would've been better, crispier, etc. Anyway the place is nice and the owner/chef is a foreigner from N.America.
I've also heard la Tavola's pizza is yummy. Next time I'll try it... |

I'll put this as nice as possible.,
The Pizza peel is ok pizza. its not napolatan pizza like he is advertising. lets get that sorted right now. noway near it!
second, his dough is not mastered yet,. he needs to work on his fermentation, leavening and preparation.
you don't fly to Italy for a couple days and come back and call yourself a pieman!
He has passion, so he will get better. but as of now, he just isn't there yet.
give him a year more and I think he will work through a lot of the mistakes he is doing. it takes years before you can really call yourself a pieman.
at the moment his pizzas are like Pizza schools. but 2.5x the cost.
but thats not a bad thing. the bad thing is there is pizza in Korea for 5 bucks. thats just wrong for Pizza. hard to compete with that..
anyone tried the crows nest? new pizza pub..
whats that like? |

I tried a calzone at La Tavola Itaewon and it was very poor, even Pizza Hut or Domino's would have been better to be honest. |
