Aye in Germany maybe. Though I guess that will at least stop all those Germans job applicants. Very Happy

The American job market added 90,000 jobs in November which lit up the the Dow like a rocket shooting up a whopping 250 points higher as we slept. I haven't met any German English teachers, but know Germany has a solid economy and job market with a solid social system that pays unemployment as well as college costs in what is know as a social market economy. I am fond of the German system and wish it were America's system. I think Germans and French would come teach simply for the educational/cultural experience of it rather than doing it to save up $10,000 in a year.

Hello,

My recruiter just told me they are not accepting anymore EPIK applications because, EPIK is not accepting anymore, but on their website it says they have extended the date.

I am a bit confused. What should I do?

Thanks!

Apply direct would be my suggestion.

In regards to Epik I don't see any advantage in using a recruiter....am I missing something?

No, you're totally on the money. I went directley through EPIK and the additional information I received was invaluable. Plus it makes you seem like a grown up, which isn't a bad thing Smile

Gyeonggi to hire fewer foreign teachers

Gyeonggi education authorities are moving to cut down the number of native English-speaking teachers for conversational classes at public schools due to a lack of budget.

Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education said Thursday it plans to cut the number of foreign English teacher by 200 or 8.8 percent to 2,056 for next year. Currently, a total of 2,256 native English speakers are working at 2,032 schools in the province.

The provincial education office said it is also considering cutting the number of native teachers in phases in the years to come.
