technically, my shoe size is roughly 260 (9/9.5), but i've found a pair of nice boots on gmarket that are a size 255. i know that sometimes boots fit a bit larger, but would this be realistic?

I'm the same size as you. I can do it sometimes with sandals, but have never tried with boots. Perhaps go to dongdaemun and try on a few pairs of boots, they often have some largish sizes.

You can try ice.
I've never done it but I heard it works.

If they are leather, you can get them stretched, which is generally considered workable for 1/2 a size (based on recent research I did-but I don't know about a full size). I have pair of boots I recently purchased which fit fine, but I am going to have them stretched so that my orthotics are more comfortable.

I am having it done rather than doing it myself because they are not cheap to replace. I have not had it done yet, but my Korean coworker said this place is well known for helping with high end shoes. Stretching is 10-20,000.

supposedly, they're leather. i would give the ice idea a try, but it looks like that's specifically for shoes and not boots. i'm not sure if i could get the ice bag out of the boot after ~20min like the video says (i'm assuming if i just let it completely melt in the bag, the leather won't retain the stretch well?).

ok, on to my next question... has anyone had boots made here? any price estimates on this?

I'm a 260 too but some of the 250's fit me well, especially the heeled boots.
I bought two shoes from this little shoe store in Gangnam on the corner across from the MacDonalds next to the Artbox. 30k and 50k, but both are really comfy and fit well.

I haven't tried this, but I'd be willing to bet that if you went to one of the chain stores (like ABC) that they could order your size.
