I know this has been talked about previously..

But, I'm just looking for precise directions from someone who has done or is doing it successfully...

I will be doing a visa transfer in March 2011 and I've been told that because I submitted an apostilled criminal record check previously I don't need to do it again.

So all I need to do is get my degree notarized and then the apostille..

Anyone out there?

Thanks

Hi,

As I understand it, if you attended a UK university you can get The British Council to verify your degree. I think they tell you how long it will take:

http://www.britishcouncil.org/korea-studyuk-verification.htm

It can then be sent to the FCO in Milton Keynes for apostille. They have a date tracker that tells you how long things take (or rather, what they are working on at present):

http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/what-we-do/services-we-deliver/legal-services/legalisation/

I would double check on the FCO website for sure what you need, but that's what I've been told to do. You do need to pay for both services.

Hope that helps!

Kat

Only if you don't leave the country.
