Hey, when the PO tries to deliver and you aren't home, will they leave a card saying where you can pick stuff up? I got a bunch of SMS today about them trying to deliver something, but they didn't leave a card with info about where I can pick it up. Is there anything I can do? I'd feel suspicious calling in sick tomorrow because it's an exam/manditory deskwarming day. |

do you have a security guard at your building?
they will usually just leave it there if so.
if not. just have a co-teacher call them for you. |

If it's the actual post man, go to the post office. |

The messages seem to be from an automatic machine. Can someone be reached by phone?
I'll try going to the nearest post office after work and showing them my SMS. I hope it works! |

i had to go to some bizarre room in my place when i wasn't in and they tried to deliver something. turns out it was a treasure trove of packages, great and small, run by a strange wizened old man who seemed to have a lack of organisational system but found my stuff in 30 seconds flat.
it was a bit like indiana jones to be honest |

The secret undelivered packages room... hehe
Update & Advice~
Always give your school's address when you're asked to give an address (except if it's for census or something).
Turns out it wasn't the post office trying to get me, but a delivery service. They were going by my postal address, and trying to go by GPS. I don't know my building name, so they didn't know where to take it. After some very helpful intervention from coworkers (after my valiant attempts to make communicative use of my 서강 at-home language course, which got me scolded, "Korea now!" )... it's sorted. He'll bring the packages to my school.
Honestly, I had no idea this stuff was going to be delivered to me. I thought I'd have to pick it up. |
