am I missing something here? . . . second time in a row I've heard about the embassy in ottawa contacting emergency contacts of expats back in canada and advising us to leave Korea...; I'm skeptical but maybe worth a post here. things have been too quiet here these past 48hrs maybe

why would they contact our emergency contacts and not us? i haven't heard anything about an evacuation; it would be huge news if it were actually true, so i doubt it.

If you are registered with the embassy you will get an e-mail from them and warden information via e-mail (like they sent to everyone back in 2002).

If it was anything more you would have gotten a call from your warden

and at present there are no changes in the warning level on the foreign affairs or embassy websites.
