Everything is made of concrete here... any good ideas (ie cheap and easy) for hanging pictures on the wall? I have several framed photographs and a canvas that I'd like to get up but am not sure how to go about it.

Will it come down to buying a specialized drill and bit?

I have found some "command" hooks that have sticky tape on the back. The ones I got were not very strong; however there were other varieties at Daiso.

go to a corner shop, for chon-un you can buy 4-10 hooks with a resin on the back. Heat the resin with a lighter and hang.
They hold anywhere between 600- 1000 grams. I use them for my jackets, keys etc

Concrete nails and a hammer if you aren't to particular. Electric Drill, Masony Bits (6mm), 6mm plugs and screws if you are particular. If you go the drill route make sure it has a "hammer" option as you really can't drill into concrete without it.

I picked up a Black & Decker hammer drill at emart in the spring for around 50,000W. Came with a small pack of anchors, screws, and including the masonry bits.
Works great.

Go to any Emart and pick up some 3M Command velcro strips. I have used these things in all 3 apartments I've had and never had anything fall, including large picture frames. You can find them around the glues and other adhesives. They look like this:

if u work at a public school, there should be a maintenance guy. and he should have concrete nails and hammers, you should ask to borrow those. that's what i did.

Unfortunately, it says not to use the command hooks on wallpaper. Anyone try it anyway?
