Actually, I could think of a lot of underrated things, but they were all food related. |

Overrated - Dongdaemun Market and its list-price clothing
Underrated - Dongmyo Ap Flea Market and its 1,000 won clothing bargain piles with disfigured guys shouting "천원! 천원!"
My guess is that many people get lost in Dongdaemun Market, end up in Dongmyo Ap Flea Market which is only a subway stop away, and then conclude "wow, Dondaemun Market = awesome."

Underrated - Kimbap Cheonguk (김밥천국) and university campus cafeterias
Overrated - narcissistic early 20s agasshis
Underrated - foxy 30-something ajummas
Overrated - drinking with your friends at loud, expensive bars
Underrated - drinking with your friends on overturned crates in a park
Overrated - flying to Japan
Underrated - taking a ferry to Japan
Overrated - more money
Underrated - more free time

underrated: bars on hooker hill, like grand ol opry, polly's kettle, old town
overrated: kgirls in their 20's
underrated: the bevy of hot korean milfs
overrated: hongdae (by a long shot), esp. bars like the Ho's, go-go's,
underrated: sinchon, esp. woodstock, mike's cabin, zen, and all of the little hole in the wall bars tucked away in the corners |

Overrated - sit-down toilets (you have to spend time laying toilet paper down on the seat -- not good when you are just about to explode)

Underrated: Young, sexy women from outside the Anglosphere (everyone loves to put them down, because they're not unpleasant enough to be cool these days.)

Underrated: Drinking outside in a party area
Overrated: "Going dancing".
Underrated: Not wasting your night moving your body around because Nikki Minaj or some other garbage is playing and trying to get with girls by going along with the crowd and pretending that you like it.

Overrated: Marriage, picket fence, etc.

I liked these two.
Overrated: Raw seafood in any coastal town
Underrated: Dakkalbi in Chuncheon

i also agree with the cat that said Gecko's/Sam Ryan's/ Wolfhound were overrated and hill/alley bars were underrated.
